This Saturday, November 2, communities across Illinois will be hosting public education activities to raise awareness around the Get Covered Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace. These “Cover Your Community” events will educate attendees on their health coverage options available through the Marketplace and will also provide them with helpful information regarding eligibility and enrollment.
More than 160 “Cover Your Community” events are scheduled statewide for November 2. To find an event near you, visit the Get Covered Illinois website.
CivicSource learned about these coordinated events through the Illinois African American Coalition for Prevention (ILAACP). ILAACP will host a “Cover Your Community” town hall in Chatham on November 2, and will continue to conduct town halls throughout the length of Open Enrollment (until March 31) in three Chicago communities: Auburn Gresham, Chatham, and Greater Grand Crossing. For more info on the upcoming town halls, visit ILAACP’s website.
