The Participatory Budgeting Project and UIC Great Cities Institute are looking for Organizers andFacilitators to volunteer their skills to support Participatory Budgeting in Chicago (PBC). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in honing their facilitation and outreach skills, learning more about city government, gaining experience engaging diverse community members, and contributing to real grassroots democracy.

PB Chicago is a democratic process in which community members in Chicago Wards are directly deciding how to spend $1 million per ward of their Aldermanic discretionary funds. The process works as follows:
