END: FEB 03, 2016 - 01:00 PM

WHERE: Richard J. Daley Library Conference Room 1-470, 801 S. Morgan Street, Chicago, IL 60607
Presented by Susan Magasi, Department of Occupational Therapy/College of Applied Health Sciences.

Knowledge translation has been described as a critical skill for researchers and healthcare practitioners. The knowledge translation collaborative is a novel model of equity-focused knowledge translation that brings together people with disabilities and healthcare professionals as co-learners and co-creators of knowledge translation products to support advocacy and consumer and provider education. Strengths and challenges of this approach will be discussed along with practical considerations for implementation.
